Definition
Evidence-verifiable AI assurance is assurance that is backed by a record an external party can check, rather than a stated opinion or a self-reported score. If a regulator, insurer, or auditor asks how a conclusion was reached, the evidence trail answers the question directly.
Why it matters
A statement of confidence is not evidence. Many organisations can say their AI governance is sound, but few can show the specific record that supports the claim: the named accountable individual, the oversight protocol, the documented autonomy boundary. Evidence-verifiable assurance requires that record to exist and to be checkable, not just asserted.
How CLEARANCE applies it
Every CLEARANCE report includes an evidence appendix: the underlying record of what was assessed and how each finding was reached. The report is built to be handed to a board, an insurer, or a regulator without further explanation, because the evidence behind each finding is included, not just the conclusion.
