CLEARANCE Education is being built now. This page describes how it will work and how it connects to AQE's Education qualification; register your interest below and we'll be straight with you about timing as it firms up.

Two ways in
Once built, if AQE already qualified a deployment, CLEARANCE Education will inherit that authorised boundary and check the live system against it directly, with no repeated questionnaire. If a tool has been live for a while with no formal qualification behind it, CLEARANCE acts as the first assurance check and tells you plainly whether qualification or remediation is what's needed next.
When to run an assurance check
- An annual or six-monthly assurance cycle
- A material change to the AI system, model, supplier, or workflow
- New or changed data access
- An incident or control failure
- A renewal or procurement review
- A board, DPO, or safeguarding request
- A change in what the tool is authorised to do
What you get
A point-in-time result, findings, remediation steps, and an evidence pack, signed so anyone who receives it can check it, so a governor, Ofsted, or a parent complaint can be answered with something solid, not a screenshot. This is point-in-time assurance, not continuous monitoring: CLEARANCE tells you where things stand when you ask, and again when something changes.
Every finding traces to a named source (DfE, KCSIE, the Academy Trust Handbook, or ICO guidance) and the same facts always produce the same result. That's true across every CLEARANCE sector, and it will be true here too.
Where this connects
CLEARANCE assures what's already live. If you're bringing in a new AI tool and want to qualify it before it goes live, that's AQE's job: see AQE's Education page for the Academy Trust Assessment (live now) and AQE Education deployment qualification.
